The digital transformation of construction sites is going to be an increasingly necessity in the construction world. BIM, Building Information Modeling, is acting as an engine for the development of construction sites in the direction of industry 4.0. In a sector traditionally little inclined to digital, the transition is challenging, starting with the investments necessary for the transition. But the tools necessary for this evolution are ready, and the transformation is made economically sustainable thanks to the access to tax concessions allowed by technological solutions.

Construction towards industry 4.0

With the introduction of the BIM methodology, the construction sector is facing a real revolution that will involve all its processes. Tax credit for digitization

The simplification and optimization process can be favoured by the tax opportunities offered by the so-called National Transition Plan 4.0. Launched in 2017, for the two-year period 2020-2022 it previewed an investment of 24 billion euros by the Ministry of Economic Development, with the aim of encouraging business investments and their stability.

In particular, the Plan allows companies to benefit from a tax credit for investments in intangible assets functional to the technological and / or digital transformation in an Industry 4.0 key. With the 2021 Budget Law, the tax credit has reached 20% of the investment, compared to the 15% previously envisaged, and an expenditure ceiling of 1 million euros. These parameters will remain unchanged for the entire two-year extension of the Plan.

Teamax software is part of intangible assets 4.0 to which the tax credit is applied.
